Dear Changemaker,

Let us demystify mindfulness, shall we? It’s not incense and chanting in a cave. It’s pausing before replying to that e-mail. It’s taking a deep breath before reacting. It is the courage to be fully present – in life and in leadership. It is about recognising emotional intelligence as a Superpower.

We spend so much time worrying about the future - which causes worry and anxiety- and the past – which causes guilt and regret. The bizarre reality is we cannot change the past (only the way we see it) and we cannot predict the future – as they say; Man proposes, God disposes. Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present in the moment.

https://youtu.be/IHyR7p6_hn0The reality is we are living longer than we ever have before. The miracle of modern medicine is keeping us alive for longer, but the oxymoron is that it isn’t a life of better quality. Retiring at 60 is no longer a financial reality for most people. We need to provide for a life that is almost 20 years longer than it used to be. So having the courage to re-invent yourself, to pivot and create a new “last quarter” that is meaningful, filled with purpose and passion starts now. The reality is that real productivity doesn’t come from the hustle, it comes from presence.

How many decisions and choices are being made daily while you are “unconscious”? We make New Years resolutions and they are all but forgotten by middle of February, as we struggle to stay on track with all the other demands of everyday life.

Come and immerse your soul in a few hours of “presence” and fun. Feed your energy, your essence and start your “live purposefully” journey today, we were after all designed for presence, not panic.

At MillerT.I.M.E we believe in teaching people how to pause, breath and reset. Our mindfulness workshop is packed with simple tools that turn chaos into clarity. (no incense required).

Take this moment to ask yourself: When was the last time you were fully present in your own life? If you can’t remember, its T.I.M.E to change that.

TIP: Try this today: Set a 2-minute timer. Sit in silence. Just breathe. No phone. No to-do list. Just YOU.
